Julie is an award winning textile artist originally from the quiet shores of Lake Erie, now living and working in Toronto. A lover of the fibre arts since she was a child, she studied textiles at the Kootenay School of the Arts, a small and eclectic school in the mountains of southeastern British Columbia, where she learned about the wonders of boiled wool from a fellow student. She began making her line of felted hats and accessories in 2006.
Aside from hat-making, Julie is passionate about natural dyeing (with plants and bugs and barks and such) a world she has been exploring after she fell in love with it in her first week of art school, back in 2002.
