Letter from Jo

Dear Resonance community;

I know you’re overwhelmed with all the COVID-19 news and information. So am I. 

And while new clothes aren’t exactly essential items in a pandemic, we’ve had some clients reaching out to express their appreciation for the bursts of colour they find on our website, our social media feed, and in the parcels we’ve shipped out over the past few weeks. 

In light of that appreciation, I’m committed to being both responsible and responsive during this time. Resonance employees are safe at home, and our bricks and mortar store is closed until further notice. But I’m still working, and our web store is still functioning. 

Everything I’m doing is with input from our community of employees, customers, partners and suppliers. As I’m navigating this unprecedented situation, I am doing my best to balance the economic and social impact of my decisions. But this situation is absolutely unprecedented, and I can’t be sure that I have considered all the relevant factors. I welcome constructive feedback.

Store Closure

To help keep our community safe, we have closed our bricks and mortar store until further notice. Until then, you can continue to order online at a 20% discount, with free local drop off or free shipping on minimum orders and easy returns on all merchandise until further notice.

Our People Are Our Strength

I'm really missing the cheerful company of your favourite sales associates, Lisa, Cindy, Dina, Nat and Heather. I've laid them off so they could keep their families safe and initiate the process of filing for unemployment insurance as soon as possible. You don't have to worry about their financial security, I'm planning on making every effort to make sure they end up with compensation equal to what they would have earned if they could be working now. I value them immensely, as I know you do, and I promise they will be returning to Resonance as soon as we get the go ahead. I also promise to dance a jig on that happy day!

Changes in policy

To help you adapt in an ever-changing economic environment, we have changed our policy with regards to returning and exchanging sale items.

Returning web purchases

For a limited time, we're offering 20% off everything!

Under normal circumstances, sale items are not returnable, but to help you cope with the reality of online shipping during this time, we will accept returns within 20 days of the shipping date. It would be very helpful if you can send unsuitable items back as quickly as possible, hopefully well within the 20 day window. This policy will continue until we open our doors again.

In store purchases and returns

If you made a purchase in store during the month of March, we will extend our return policy. You can return your item up to 10 days after we reopen.
